Europcar Car Rental Rates in South African Rands (ZAR)
In the following tables, you will find our Special Internet Rates for rentals with pickup in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. For rentals originating in Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique, please inquire via e-mail. All rates are exclusively available through Blue Travel.

Europcar Classic rates include:
- Theft and Collision Damage Waiver
- Personal Accident Insurance
- Unlimited mileage
- Airport Surcharge
- Tourism Levy
- Value Added Tax at 14%
- Carbon Emissions Tax
Europcar Classic rates exclude: (to be billed directly to renter)
- Rental deposit (Excess plus ZAR 1500)
- Additional Driver charge of ZAR 220 per rental, per driver
- 2nd Additional Driver
- Young Driver surcharge of ZAR 165 per day, per driver
- One way drop off charges
- Delivery and Collection fees
- Cross Border Charges
- Contract fee of ZAR 50
- Traffic Fine Handling Fee of ZAR 220
- Claim Handling Fee of ZAR 550 (applies to all damage excluded from waivers, ie water and under-carriage damage)
- Water and under-carriage damage to vehicles
- Tyre and rim damage, hubcaps
- Windscreen
- Garmin GPS Unit
GPS rentals are available from all branches within South Africa. This unit plugs into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter point and is operated through a touch screen. Units are supplied in personalised Europcar carry bags with Quick Reference Guide on how to use. 48 hours notice is required for reservations in remote areas. Rentals are subject to an excess of ZAR 1500 in the event of loss or damage. - Higher EXTENSION RATES apply when the renter extends the rental beyond the voucher days or with Europcar direct.
